The AAF-RDU is a non-profit, volunteer run organization and its success depends upon the involvement of the members. The best way to help is to serve on one of our committees. They include:

Database
Works with Interactive Chair, Membership Chair and Treasurer to ensure that membership database list is kept up-to-date and implemented on website in order to maintain timely billing cycles and correctly sign up and categorize new member of the club.

Public Service
Projects that effectively use advertising techniques to support local, regional and/or national programs on behalf of public interests and/or community betterment.

Club Achievement
Responsible for keeping accurate records of efforts in all areas of club operations. Also responsible for writing up and organizing binders for entry into national AAF Club Achievement Award competition.

Sponsorship
Works directly with Programs and Treasurer. Responsible for developing sponsorship price levels on a yearly basis and actively identifying and engaging potential sponsors of various AAF-RDU events to help offset costs of programs, meals, etc.

Advertising Education
Essentially there are three areas of concentration in advertising education. These are programs for the profession, students and the general public. These programs improve the skills, professionalism and standards of current and future advertising practitioners through education as well as provide an understanding of, and confidence in, advertising and its contributions to the community and the economy.

Government Relations
Projects and programs designed to build effective relationships with local, state and national governments. Relationships are developed through the club or federation's work to initiate favorable legislation, contribute to the defeat of adverse legislation, educate lawmakers and promote industry self-regulation.

The Interactive Committee is responsible for maintaining / further developing the website(s), as well as assisting with all e-mail communications to membership.

Develop and sustain the identity of the AAF Raleigh-Durham Chapter across all mediums.

Quality programming that fosters actively interested membership, well-attended meetings and membership growth.

Diversity
Vital to the national mission to expand AAF's well-established leadership capabilities on multicultural marketing/advertising and diversity issues. The Diversity Chair's goal is to support the national Mosaic Center on Multiculturalism and on a local level to develop new programs and services to meet evolving corporate and governmental needs for education.

Membership Development
Membership Developed is defined as activities designed to enhance the local advertising club or federation membership in three ways: recruitment, retention and involvement.

ADDY Awards
Plan, manage and execute yearly ADDY Awards. This includes developing a yearly theme, finding the correct venue, managing the entry website and judging process, and organizing the actual award ceremony.
